Mike Baur’s Leadership Style for Entrepreneur’s Success is Remaining Curious

Posted onCategoriesBusiness, Businessman

Chairman and CEO Mike Baur is well-known, for co-founding the Swiss Startup factory in Zurich, Switzerland. After being involved within the banking industry, for two decades, Mike took a risky, yet groundbreaking move to create the most-lucrative and sought after start-up in Zurich.

What drives Mike for success is his passion. However, it is his great ability to lead that keeps entrepreneurs and future business leaders to form alliances with him and the Start up Factory.

Mike fits the description of a perfect leader, for being someone who makes a difference in people’s lives and providing a positive direction. If anyone would ask Mike what he believes adds to his leadership style, he would first say that it is his passion that drives everything he does. However, Mike would also state that his curiosity has helped him, not only lead successfully, but to consistently reach even higher.

Mike says, “Curiosity impacts me heavily every day.” With so many entrepreneurs depending upon ideas, for the Start up Factory, curiosity is a beneficial ingredient, for the type of leadership Mike must display. He has a “go-getter” approach to ideas and becomes extremely excited when his team gathers to brainstorm. Those are the opportunities Mike uses to show by example how a leader gets in the trenches with his team, for producing effective and measurable results.

As a privately funded startup company, Mike has the advantage to approach business in a more non-traditional manner. That advantage also impacts his leadership style. In order for there to be a successful outcome of any business venture, Mike says that people must be willing to take chances. He reminds his staff and those future business leaders within the Start up Factory, that risks are important. Mike illustrates this point further as a mentor to many of those within the three-month program which he designed.

Swiss start up Factory greatly benefits from the leadership style of Mike Baur. The company continues to provide excellent advantages not otherwise available to new business leaders and entrepreneurs. Through a respected mentor and coaching development plan, the three-month accelerator program is intended to build upon the core skills already present. Mike also designed a network of prestigious investor support, for entrepreneurs to leverage their business opportunities, providing them advantages well-beyond what’s needed.

What drives Mike continues to be curiosity and passion, but what keeps his reputation on solid ground and the Start up Factory, is the ability to lead people to greater heights. This unique quality is not something many others have, but Mike’s type of leadership is exclusive to his particular style to achieve extraordinary success, for those he leads.

End Citizens United: Power Back To The People!

End Citizens United (ECU) is a very active political action committee in the United States with a noble cause. The main aim of ECU is to end the influence that rich individuals and corporations have on elections in the country.

The supporters of End Citizens United feel that money is used to control politicians, such that they serve the interests of their financial backers instead of representing the interests of the people who put them in office.

The group is working to overturn the 2010 decision by the Supreme Court to end regulation on the limits of expenditure for specific candidates during election campaigns.

ECU’s focus now is supporting candidates who are sympathetic to their cause, so that the candidates may work to reverse the Supreme Court decision once they are elected.

Cory Booker and Kirsten Gillibrand

A rising number of upcoming politicians are buying into ECU’S ideologies and rejecting funding from corporate political action committees (PAC). Cory Booker, a junior senator from New Jersey, recently announced he would not be accepting funding from any corporate PAC, much to the delight of ECU.

The action group was full of praises for Senator Booker, thanking him for rejecting what they called ‘corporate special interest money.’

Kirsten Gillibrand, the junior senator representing the state of New York, is yet another political candidate who has rejected any corporate funding for her campaign. Ms. Gillibrand rose from being a political underdog to becoming one of the most robust members of the Senate Armed Services Committee. The ECU has a very strong candidate in Kirsten Gillibrand.

Both Booker and Gillibrand have put themselves in a unique position by publicly subscribing to the ECU ideals. By doing this, the two have automatically won the support of an ever-increasing number of Americans who feel that the rich are buying elections; thus, undermining the peoples’ political power.

This, however, means that they have to look elsewhere for funds to compete with opponents who have no qualms about accepting corporate donations.

ECU released a statement on endcitizensunited.org thanking Booker and Gillibrand for putting their constituents’ needs above their own. The ECU went a step further and endorsed both candidates as they prepare to run for office.

ECU president Tiffany Muller hinted that voters would see Booker and Gillibrand’s action as benevolent and rally behind them in their respective campaigns.

2018 Midterm Elections

ECU’s long-term goal is to get enough representatives who support them to be able to reverse the Supreme Court ruling on the regulation of campaign funding. The 2018 Midterm elections look promising, as more candidates, such as Beto O’Rourke of Texas, have rejected the corporate campaign funding.
